Seoul, South Korea, February 25, 2023 – Vestas, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, has opened a new office in Seoul, South Korea. The office will serve as the company’s Asia Pacific headquarters, supporting Vestas’ growing business in the region.

The new office comes at a time of significant growth for Vestas in Asia, where the company will have more than 2.5 gigawatts of installed capacity by 2022, an increase of 20 percent over the previous year. The company has more than 5 gigawatts of installed wind power project capacity in the region.

Vestas is a leading wind turbine supplier in South Korea. The company has more than 1.5 gigawatts of installed wind power capacity in Korea, which is about 20 percent of the country’s total installed wind power capacity.

The new office in Seoul will support Vestas’ growth in Korea and throughout Asia. The office will help Vestas better serve its customers in the region and support the development of the wind energy market.

The opening of the new office was attended by dignitaries including Cheol-won Kang, Deputy Mayor of Seoul, and Svend Olling, Danish Ambassador to Korea. The event provided an opportunity to reaffirm a shared commitment to support the introduction of offshore wind energy in Korea.
